Ingredients for Fruit Trifle:

  • 1 pound cake or sponge cake
  • 3 cups mixed fruit (such as berries, kiwi, peaches, or apricots), diced
  • 2 cups custard (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions  for Fruit Trifle:

Cut the pound cake or sponge cake into small cubes and set aside.

In a large bowl, mix the diced fruit with 1 cup of custard.

In a separate bowl, beat the cream with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.

In a large trifle bowl or glass serving dish, layer half of the cake cubes on the bottom.

Spread portion of the organic product combination over the cake.

Spread half of the remaining custard over the fruit.

Repeat the layers with the remaining cake, fruit mixture, and custard.

Cover the top of the trifle with the whipped cream.
