  • sugar 1 tsp

  • 4 ripe mangoes, peeled and sliced 
  • 3/ 4 mug sugar 
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch 
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla excerpt 
  • 1/4 tsp salt  
  • 1 egg, beaten


Instructions For Mango pie

  • To make the crust, combine the flour,  salt, and sugar in a large bowl. Add the butter and use a confection knife or your fingers to work the butter into the flour mixture until coarse crumbs make.
  •  Gradationally add the ice water, 1 teaspoon at a time until the dough comes together and forms a ball. Divide the dough in half, wrap each half in a plastic serape, and chill for at least 30  mins.   
  • Preheat your roaster or oven to 375 °F( 190 °C). Roll out one half of the dough on a  smoothly floured face to fit a 9- inch( 23 cm) pie dish. Transfer the dough to the pie dish, trim the edges, and set away. 
  • For the stuffing, combine the mango slices, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, vanilla excerpt, and salt in a large saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the admixture thickens and comes to a  pustule, about 10- 15  mins
  •  Pour the mango mixture into the pie crust and smooth out the top. Roll out the leftover dough and cut it into strips. Place the strips over the mango admixture in a chassis pattern. Brush the top of the pie with the beaten egg. 
  • Bake the pie for 30- 35 mins, or until the crust is golden brown and the stuffing is gamesome. Let the pie cool for at least 30  mins before serving. Serve warm or at room temperature with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if you want.
